Holiday Wrap-Up Part 2

For Boogs, our visit was all about the snow. He LOVED being outside.

Rolling around in the front yard.

Making snow angels.

Walks around the Perley.

Leaping into the snow.

Boogs was trying to throw a snowball at me while leaping off of a small snowbank.

Our traditional hike to feed the birds.

Boogs was very patient. Unfortunately, there were not birds here. We kept walking to the next spot on the trail where we have had luck finding the birds in previous years.

When Boogs got tired, I gave him a ride.

The chickadees will land right on your hand to grab a few sunflower seeds.
The trail was beautiful.

These birch trees had fallen over and we almost did not recognize our usual trail turn off.

Daddy and Boogs enjoying the cold air.

Oh no! Daddy pulled on the tree branch when I was trying to get a picture of Boogs with Grandmaman.

We took a ferry across the river into Quebec to visit friends.

Boogs spent almost 2 1/2 hours playing in their backyard. The top of his boots were filled with ice, but he did not seem to mind.

Thank you for a lovely visit, good food, and good conversation.

My husband wanted to go geocaching while we were there. He and Boogs had picked up a tracked tag at a geocache in Texas and wanted to leave it in Ottawa. My husband was not able to find the geocache this day, but several days later he and his dad went out and successfully found a different one.

Boogs put his toboggan to good use.

This did not end well!!!

The snow was too powdery and deep for a good slide at Boogs' regular little hill.

Boogs said he would live in Canada just to go tobogganing every day.

  2. The photos look so beautiful, I do hope we have a little of your snow this year. It is so mild and damp here this year so far. I don't think I would ever get me children indoors except to warm up if we had beautiful snow like that. Thank you for linking up to Country Kids.

    1. We are back home in Texas, now. It will be an entire year before we will see snow like that again.
